Jose was quick to respond to my request. He came out promptly to access and give me a quote on the work that I wanted to get done. His quote was reasonable for the amount of work. We set a date to get it done. I had to change the date and he was agreeable to reschedule and on that date he was on time early with his crew. The work was done in a short amount of time. We had the honor of meeting Jose before Hurricane Beryl that hit Houston on July 7th 2024, we had originally called him to trim our 200 yo Red Oak, he was in awe with the beauty of the tree, immediately noticed we had a momma woodpecker living up high in the tree which he said he would need to save/relocate before starting the trimming process. We immediately knew we found the right guy for the job!! Fast forward, the tree succumbed to the high winds that came through Sugarland. The tree was uprooted and now in tree heaven. LOL We called him back to cut it up, but was honest enough to say he wasn’t prepared for the size and heavy equipment required, which we appreciated. His honesty kept him #1 on our list. Servins tree care did a wonderful job. It’s been several years since our trees were trimmed. They were starting to grow over the roof which was just replaced a couple years ago. I had a tree that was hit by lightening months ago. A family member assured me that I had plenty of time to get it cut down. Turns out the tree died FAST!! On Thursday, October 28, 2021, Houston had super high winds that took down a lot of trees and knocked out power. I promised myself then and there that I would move forward with getting estimates to have the tree removed. Servin's Tree Care was recommended to me by a colleague. They provided the fastest and most-economical estimate for the tree removal and stump grinding. They scheduled our tree removal for the following Monday, November 1st. They had a crew of three and artfully removed the tree without incident within four hours. A neighbor of mine had a tree in very close proximity removed (the stump remains) and it took that company two full days to remove and they dropped all kind of debris onto my roof and carport. He was honest in his answers when we asked to trim more limbs of the tree. The trees are looking their best in the 15 years I have them. The men worked fast and well together. Jose's team was on-time, careful about the work they did, did a great job on a 50+ year old pecan tree and an oak tree that's about the same age. They removed a few branches that needed it and then trimmed all around. This was not only good for the tree, but needed to dead or nearly dead limbs won't fall on our roof during high winds. Servin Tree Service came out to trim a large tree in my backyard, which had branches threatening the power line to my home in the Alief area. We had 2 large Mulberry trees that were pretty rotten, and were becoming a safety issue. We had Servins Tree Care come out and take a look at them, and they confirmed that we should remove them. They run a well established operation. Had proof of insurance as requested with the quote, showed up properly geared with safety, did not make a lot of unnecessary yelling and noise. Worked the entire time besides a lunch break (could hear the saws). Jose and his crew were true professionals. Sales/bid visit was best in class among other providers with over 100 reviews in 5-star category, he won't just tell you what he will do, he will point out exact branches and areas he will clear out in a way you cannot possibly misunderstand. They went out and put a tarp in the neighbor's property to prevent leaves and debris from making a mess by the pool and in the pool. I gotta say, Servin's Tree Care has got to be the best bang for my buck. If Best customer service was a company, it's Servin's Tree Care. He was highly communicative, friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, I booked him during the so called Freeze of January 2026, and he called and said even though he was booked, he would squeeze me into his busy Thursday schedule and made sure my trees were taken care of beforehand. We have had other companies trim our trees in the past but Servin's Tree Care is outstanding. Jose was very knowledgeable and we can tell he is passionate about his work. We discussed what we wanted done for our trees in the front yard and backyard. He came with his crew and they went to work right away.
